So, Dr Wes, your fellow blogging comrade has landed!
I suspect the majority of planes landing in Atlanta this weekend have been packed with cardiologists (and surgeon!…what a brave man Dr Bradeley is from Sheffield and welcome!!). Would be interesting to see what happened if the cabin crew requested ‘is there a doctor onboard!?’
I have to say, as much as we Brits like queuing, our patience was pushed to the limits with your baggage reclaim system here. To be reunited with your bag (great relief for many a traveller these days!) you then have to part with it again (left in the middle of a vast hall) and wait for what seems the duration of the flight, for it to reappear on the carousel at the end of the tunnel! And while, as colleagues showing comaraderie, you place all your bags together in that hall, they still seem to get separated over such a short distance and over a long time! However, patience was rewarded and we were soon on our way in the rain (weather- now, something else the Brits are good at talking about!)
GOOD MORNING ATLANTA!…..how many of you realised that the clocks go forward in the US today?! It might mean for less jetlag once home (or more depending on your direction!) but do hope you didn’t miss your early morning session (especially if a speaker or Chair!)….
So, with my fellow bloggers Wes and Dr Lewin (see RSS feeds on right hand side of this page), we launch ourselves into what will be an extraordinary meeting…
Enjoy it..and the blogging….and keep us all busy with your comments!
Sarah
